Mr. Kalifis is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in knee and hip surgery. He completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology in hospitals in Greece and the United Kingdom, and then his specialization in the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow and an official member of the European Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, receiving the title FEBOT (Fellow of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology) after successful examinations.
STUDIES AND WORK EXPERIENCE
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Democritus University of Thrace (2015)
He served as an armed forces medic in the 71st Airborne Brigade and as a rural service medic at the Krya Vrysi health center in the prefecture of Pella.
He specialized in Orthopaedics and Traumatology and worked in paid positions in hospitals in Greece and the United Kingdom, namely the Hippocrates National Hospital, the General Hospital of Chalkida, the University Orthopedic Clinic of Larissa and finally at the Orthopaedic Trauma Centre Hull Royal Infirmary. He received the title of specialty of Orthopedics and Traumatology after successful examinations (2023).
After receiving the specialty, he completed his specialization at Golden Jubilee University National Hospital in the United Kingdom, in a salaried position (senior clinical fellow), receiving training in total and single-compartment knee arthroplasty, total hip arthroplasty, robotic arthroplasty and knee arthroscopic surgery.
RESEARCH AND SCIENTIFIC WORK
He has a significant number of publications in international scientific journals. He is also a reviewer in international scientific journals. He has participated with presentations and speeches at numerous conferences in Greece and abroad. He received the award for the best work in the category “Knee” at the international conference of ESSKA (Paris,
France, 2022) and the specialist award at the conference of OTEMATH (Thessaloniki, 2018). He is an active member of the scientific orthopedic societies ESSKA, ISAKOS, ICRS, OTEMATH and EECHOT.
