Anastasia Stamati MD, MSc, PhD(c) is an Obstetrician-Gynecological Surgeon with extensive clinical experience in Germany and Greece, specializing in obstetrics, gynecological surgery, colposcopy, and cervical pathology. Born and raised in Thessaloniki, she completed her medical studies at the University of Thessaly. She then moved to Germany, where she began her specialization at the university hospital in Bochum (Marienhospital Herne, Klinikum der Ruhr-Universität Bochum), while also taking on teaching duties for medical students and commencing her doctoral thesis.

She completed her specialization at the academic clinic St. Vincenz in Datteln, one of the largest Level I Perinatal Centers in Germany. There, she gained extensive experience in managing high-risk pregnancies, handling obstetric emergencies, and caring for complex cases such as premature births, multiple pregnancies, breech presentations, VBAC, operative deliveries, and cervical cerclage.

After the birth of her three children, she worked as a Senior Physician (Oberärztin) at Karolinen-Hospital Hüsten, where she was a key member of the laparoscopic team, performing a large number of endoscopic procedures, including hysterectomies, ovarian cyst removals, treatment of endometriosis, and urogynecological conditions. This experience led to her obtaining the title of Minimal Invasive Chirurgie (MIC) from the German Society for Gynecological Endoscopy (AGE).

Concurrently, she completed her training at AGCPC, obtaining the official colposcopy diploma, and subsequently took over the management of the colposcopy department at Karolinen-Hospital Hüsten. Additionally, she worked at Frauenarztzentrum Hagen (Women's Medical Center Hagen), covering the entire spectrum of gynecology and pregnancy monitoring.

After fifteen years in Germany, she returned to Thessaloniki with her husband and their three children. Today, she practices as a private physician at GynDocs in Thermi, offering comprehensive care in obstetrics, gynecology, surgery, and cervical pathology, with a commitment to safety, scientific accuracy, and respect for every woman.
